Religious Education Schedule
Fall 2026

To start the year, we will be piloting the UUA’s new curriculum Woven Faith. FUSF’s worship services and RE classes will follow Woven Faith’s themes of the month. This month, we’re exploring Interdependence—the ways our lives are woven together through relationships, community, and love.

NURSERY – The FUSF nursery is open Sundays from 9:30 am – 11:30 pm, starting September 13th. Nursery is designed for children ages 0 to 4, but all children are welcome. Parents/caregivers are welcome to drop-off, pop in and out, or stay with their child(ren).
Sept. 6th – FUSF closed for Labor Day weekend.
Sept. 13th – Welcome Back to RE
All Ages Circle – outside
Children and youth are invited to join the worship service with their families. After the water ritual, the Religious Education participants will head outside for their first RE class together. This will be a shorter class than typical, due to staying for more of the worship service.
After Service: Create a keychain for your backpack or school bag in the sanctuary at the table near the history wall. Join Rev. Chris and Sara Allegretti at 11:30 am for a 5 minute Blessing of the Backpacks in the sanctuary.
Sept. 20th – Covenant Together
All Ages Circle – outside (weather permitting)
Our reflection question this week is Who can I depend on? After a story about James Luther Adams, we will write our own covenant for Religious Education classes followed by a project. Our covenant helps us to find our way back when we stray from how we want to be when we are together.
After Service: Rev. Chris is hosting an Adult Faith Formation session in the sanctuary. Childcare will be provided in the nursery.
Apple Picking at Big Apple farm at 3:30 pm. See details above.
Sept. 27th – Becoming An Interdependent Community
All Ages Circle – outside & inside
What do you think it means to be interdependent with one another and with the whole world? We will reflect on this question through a game and with a collaborative art project, that we will add to throughout the year.
