All month long we are exploring how we can embrace possibilities. This week, we are exploring embracing the possibilities that come with the spring season. As we do that, we will have the chance to tell the story of Easter, which our Christian friends and maybe some of us are observing today.
Sunday, April 12 – Intergenerational Worship Service, Here We Grow Again, Child + New Member Dedication
No RE Classes this morning due to the intergenerational service. The nursery will be open.
Please contact Sara Allegretti at dre@fusf.org if you are interested in having your child dedicated during this service or in the future.
Sunday, April 19 – Embracing the Possibility of Healing the Earth (Earth Day)
Aged Based Groups (Grades PreK-3 & 4-9): OUTSIDE for part of class, please bring weather appropriate layers
This month we have been exploring how we can embrace possibilities. This week, in honor of Earth Day, we are exploring the possibility of healing the damage we have done to the natural world. As we do that, we will lift up our UU value of Interdependence.
Sunday, April 26 – Embracing the Possibilities in Each of Us
Grades PreK – 3
This month we have been exploring how we can embrace possibilities. Today, we are exploring how to embrace and identify the unique possibilities in each of us. Our UU faith affirms that we are more capable and powerful than we sometimes think. To help us celebrate that, we will have some fun with National Superhero Day, which is on April 28. We will also learn about an incredibly inspiring UU Christopher Reeves.
Grades 4 – 9
This week, we are exploring how to embrace and identify the unique possibilities in each of us. Our UU faith affirms that we are more capable and powerful than we sometimes think. Susan Dubinsky will be joining our class to share a nifty technique called tapping or Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). Susan was trained in EFT and used it in her practice as a clinical social worker. It helps to calm thoughts, feelings and the feelings in the body. We will use the stuffed animals to identify the tapping points and mark them with dot stickers. Your child/youth may opt out of the class or a caregiver can join in. Sara Allegretti will send an email prior to class with more information. Questions? dre@fusf.org
