June 2025

Sunday, June 8: Intergenerational Service Flower Communion

Please bring one flower per person attending. There will be extras just in case.

The flower ceremony, originated by Norbert Capek, founder of the Unitarian Church in Czechoslovakia, and first celebrated in Prague on June 4th , 1923 is a favorite way for UU congregations to celebrate their diversity. Join us this Sunday as we recreate this 102 year old ritual.

No Religious Education classes this Sunday.  The nursery will be open. Any children who need to play and move are welcome to go to the nursery at any point during the service. All ages are welcome.

Sunday, June 15: All Ages Circle – Last Day of Religious Education classes

Outside – Wear clothing that can get dirty and bring a trowel if you have one.

In the winter the RE classes did a Seed Starting Workshop and we started some extra seeds for our FUSF Native Gardens and our gardens at home.  Today we will plant the seedlings at FUSF.  Please be ready to get dirty and to dig.

RE Committee, Connections, and Fellowship Cafe are teaming up to host an FUSF Picnic. Join us after service on June 15th for some watermelon, Fellowship Cafe hot drinks, and lawn games.  Please bring your own lunch and picnic blanket.  We will set up a table and chairs for those who are unable to sit on the ground.  We can celebrate Father’s Day together! Invite your dad, grandfather, children, and/or grandchildren.

Sunday, June 22: No Religious Education Classes, TBD if the nursery will be open

No RE classes.

Check the e-messenger to confirm if the nursery will be open.

Sunday, June 29: Summer Services Begin

During Summer Services we do not offer religious education classes and the nursery will be closed.  If you bring children to service, you are welcome to use the Worship Bags, borrow books from the FUSF library, and/or borrow toys from the nursery and library.  We just ask that you please put everything back when you are finished.
