FUSF first obtained Welcoming Congregation Team status from the Unitarian Universalist Association in 1993. Each year our team makes sure our congregation meets the UUA Welcoming requirements and creates a safe and loving space for LGBTQIA+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning, intersex, asexual, plus other designations) people. These requirements include: annual recognition and celebration of the Welcoming Days of Observance, incorporating two Welcoming Worship Services into our calendar of worship every year, having two dedicated “plate giveaways” to a local LGBTQIA+ non-profit, and sponsoring or hosting a yearly seminar for our congregation and community.

Welcoming Congregation Team: Co-Chairs Deb Prudhomme and Marggi Shechanah, Pam Bellino, Connie Dunn, and Sandy Fellows.

The team meets on the 4th Wednesday of each month via. Zoom. Contact the co-chairs if you have any questions. Their contact information is in Breeze.
