Starting Again, The Tasks of Interim Ministry With Rev Bev Waring

As you read in the E-messenger, this feels  like year 2.0 (two-point-zero) rather than year-two as your interim.  Is there a better time than on the second day of Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, to consider what starting again might look like?

Rosh Hashanah is a time for both rejoicing and serious introspection, a time to celebrate the completion of another year while also taking stock of one’s life. This Sunday we will mark Rosh Hashanah with the Kol Nidre and some special music from the Universal Singers. Then building upon the good work we did last year and the positive momentum created by a great summer worship series that kept so many of you connected to one another, we will be reminded of the tasks of the Interim Ministry time. This will help to start to orient ourselves towards a common mission, some common goals and what starting again with joy and mindful introspection could look like.
