Seasons of Love

Our Unitarian Universalist faith is rooted in universal love. Our values, our actions, our practices center on love; that is what we say. Sometimes, being a person of faith is hard
and this is one of those times. How do we live this faith when our hearts are broken, and every day the news makes it harder for us to feel hope, peace, and love?

History can help us here. Rent, premiered on Broadway in 1996. Although written primarily about the HIV/AIDS epidemic, it is really about a community falling apart while being surrounded by anger, fear and the unknown. What can we learn from that Broadway musical? What can we learn from Unitarian Universalism? How can we have Seasons of Love even when it is really hard? The title of this service is named for the song from Rent which will be sung by a group of Dean College students during the worship service.
