For most of us when we think about renewal we imagine taking care of our physical and mental health. We focus on drinking enough water, getting enough sleep, looking at our work/life balance. And as important as all this is, what about your soul? Is there room for renewal there as well?
What if we looked at renewal not as time “away,” but rather as staying where you are and considering what your true work is. Or maybe it is time to renew your commitment to carry on the work of those that came before you. Perhaps it is time to renew your responsibility to those who will come after you. Could it be that continual self-improvement is not the path to renewal, but instead compassionate acceptance of who you already are is the true task of renewal. Join Rev. Bev as we explore renewal through a lens of Unitarian Universalist participants in congregational life.
