All of us “come out” during the course of our lives, often more than once. We all have things about ourselves that we’re reluctant to disclose, for fear of how others will receive it. Coming out requires courage on the part of the individual coming out–and requires a different sort of work of the community that is being come out to. If we are to pursue justice, equity, and pluralism in our communities, then we must undergo that work. Join Rev. Bev and our guest preacher, Rev. Micah C. Ma for this important service.
Rev. Micah C. Ma (he/they) was born and raised in the San Gabriel Valley, in Southern California, and lived 15 years in the San Francisco Bay Area. He was ordained to Unitarian Universalist ministry in 2020 and has served congregations in Cleveland, OH and Morehead City, NC. He currently serves the First Unitarian Congregational Society of Brooklyn as their Senior Interim Minister. Rev. Micah enjoys playing Pokemon Go and Dungeons & Dragons; reading queer romances; and trying new foods.
