First Universalist Society in Franklin enjoys an eleven and a half acre campus. While much of the land is preserved in its natural woodland state, we do enjoy our landscaped grounds and the special places that offer us spiritual respite. If desired, you are invited to walk around the backside of the building. Beyond the woods is a vernal pool that is visible during the winter months, but hidden once the foliage fills in.
The beauty of our land is part of our spiritual life. We experience it during worship through the wall of windows overlooking the woods. Our children and youth enjoy the outdoor space on many Sunday mornings and during a week of religious education days in the summer. Congregants enjoy gathering in the outdoor chairs or walking the grounds. Friends and neighbors visit our beautiful pine grove. Outdoor celebrations take place on the open front lawn as well as in the pine grove and other sacred spaces. We hope you, too, will take time to enjoy this beautiful place. If you wish, you may continue the audio tour of the building interior by entering through the front door.
