The first room to the right is the church administration office and the second to the right is the minister’s office. Our minister is the spiritual leader of FUSF and is available to meet with individuals and groups to discuss both personal and church-related matters. The other rooms along this hallway have been named to honor the “Faithful Nine,” another nod to our community’s deep history. In the 70s, membership was declining. The community no longer had a permanent home or minister. In the mid 80s, “The Faithful Nine” was a group of very dedicated members, passionate in their resolve to keep the doors of the First Universalist Society in Franklin open. To that end, they agreed to use some of the church’s remaining assets to enter into UUA’s extension ministry program. From their commitment, the Rev. Carol Rosine arrived, bringing renewed growth to the FUSF community and eventually leading to the building of this spiritual home. The photos along the hallway showcase our active, multi-generational community participating in many different events in our spiritual life. (If you would like to continue the tour of the grounds, exit out the front door and head to the Peace Pole to the right of the entrance)
