Mother’s Day Walk for Peace

May 12, 8 am–11 am

This year will be the 28th annual Mother’s Day Walk for peace, a tradition that honors the lives of loved ones who have been murdered and is the Louis D. Brown Peace Institute’s largest fundraising event.

FUSF has been part of the walk since 2016 and will have a team walking again this year.  The theme this year is “Cultivating Cycles of Peace.”  The Peace Institute’s services to survivors, advocacy and training are vital supports that empower survivors, support returning citizens and invest in the young people, who are shaping the world.

We have had a small but mighty group of walkers in the past and would love to welcome others, so please consider joining us.  The route is 4.3 miles, a loop that starts and ends at Town Field in Dorchester where there is plenty of parking.  The event begins at 8:00 am with some inspirational words to send us off and concludes by 11 am.

For more information, please feel free to ask past participants Ann Willever, Jake Jacobson, Sue Savoy or Allison Flanagan about their experience. You can join the team by going to our team’s page and clicking on “join our team.”  https://www.mothersdaywalk4peace.org/FUSF
