Our congregation has a long history of engaging in justice issues; marching in the Boston Pride parade, helping with the rebuilding in New Orleans following Hurricane Katrina, serving meals at the Milford Community supper, learning about homelessness through participation in Common Cathedral in Boston, donating to various non-profits through the plate give-away. Many members and friends of FUSF participate in their own ways in other social action activities.

In 2017 a Social Justice Council was formed with a mission to organize, mobilize and communicate social justice opportunities and actions reflecting our Unitarian Universalist principles with the congregation.  Current steering team members include Michelle Cahoon and Jennifer Johnson (co-chairs), Harriet Fisher, Marjorie Roemer, Vicki Coates, Denise Noble and Rev. Ann Willever.
