Who Are We?

We are a group of 20- and 30-something Unitarian Universalists in the Franklin, MA area. We are an inclusive social group based out of the First Universalist Society in Franklin (FUSF) that likes to get together regularly.

It is sometimes hard at our age to connect with people with similar interests or situations. This group was formed with the intention of bringing together more young adults and to help people our age find a welcoming community. Some of us are new to the area and some of us are not, but we all have enjoyed making new connections and having fun together.

Some of our various interests and activities include outdoor adventuring, board and card games, movies and TV, trivia, social justice, meditation and yoga, and more. Please feel free to contact us with any questions you have. We hope to meet you and hope that you enjoy this group too!

What is Available for LGBTQ Young Adults at FUSF?

The primary UU LGBTQ organization is Interweave. Interweave’s motto? “Queer UUs and friends, building up connections, breaking down oppressions.”

According to the UUA Interweave homepage:

Interweave is a membership organization actively working to end oppression based on sexual orientation and gender identity, recognizing that we will not be free until all oppression is a thing of the past.

The FUSF chapter of Interweave is always looking for new members, especially young adults. If you are interested in learning more, please contact Dave Bouchard.
