PATH OF PEACE SANGHA (POPS) NEWS
Four of the six facilitators of POPS attended a four day working retreat at the Blue Cliff Monastery in Pine Bush, NY in late October. Karen Grant, Lea MacNider, Claire Mallette and Susan Emmer Schmidt were among 90 facilitators from such diverse places as Alaska, Ottowa, Oregon, Chicago, Montreal and Brooklyn. Five Dharma Teachers led the retreatants in such topics as being a Sangha in the tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh, facilitation skills, and handling challenges.

One of the Dharma Teachers, John Bell, has recently been instrumental in forming an alliance of the 17 Sanghas in the Greater Boston area to foster greater interconnection and sharing of knowledge and experience. Being part of this group will provide many more opportunities for growth and learning for POPS.

Please SAVE the DATE: Saturday, March 25, 2017 has been scheduled for our 8th annual Day of Mindfulness with Dharma Teacher Joanne Friday. All are invited, and all are welcome to check out our weekly Monday gatherings at 7:00 PM. For more information, please call Susan at 508-520-2978.
