Healing Group

The Healing Group is Reforming!!

About a year ago FUSF had monthly Reiki healing sessions available for our congregation after Sunday service. The healings were very positively received by recipients who continued to come back for more sessions. The healing group is reforming and our first services will be available on Sunday, June 7th from 11:30-12:30 in the Chilson room. A sign-up sheet will be available on the table in the sanctuary for individuals to pick a fifteen minute slot within the listed time frame. Please try to sign up before 11:30 on Sunday June 7th.

Reiki (ray-key)-Rei-“Higher power”, ki-“Life force”, is a very powerful, ancient healing technique. Reiki was rediscovered by buddhist monks in Japan almost 300 years ago. Reiki has made its way around the world. It has given millions of people the opportunity to pass healing energy to themselves and to others. It works with a person’s physical, emotional, mental and spiritual bodies to remove blocks and boost the body’s ability to create balance and well-being. During a session, the recipient will be fully clothed on a comfortable chair or treatment table. The practitioner transmits energy to the recipient, often by the gentle laying-on of hands. The goal of a Reiki session is to enter into a deeper form of consciousness and connect with your center. Beyond relaxation, the benefits of this energy modality are:

-Relief of pain and stress and accelerated healing

– balance of the energies within the body

-maintenance and improvement of the immune system

-Release and cleanse of toxins

-removal of energetic and emotional blockages

-increased energy and well-being

This isn’t a religion and treatment experiences vary. The healing benefits of Reiki are limitless!
