A Visual History of Our Meetinghouse

The link below brings you to a video created by longtime FUSF member Jake Jacobson. It documents  the construction of our Meetinghouse at 262 Chestnut Street.

A ground-breaking ceremony was held on April 2,5 1999 after a long search for a site to build out own home and a capital campaign. Construction began in early November 2000.

We held our first service outside the building on May 6, 2001. “Miracle Sunday” was April 4, 2004, and all of the money to construct the RE Wing was raised. This phase of construction began in the fall of 2004. The RE walls came later.

Before our Meetinghouse was built, the congregation met at Marvin Chapel on the grounds of Dean College in Franklin.
