Rev. Jenny Rankin, Interim Minister
Reverend Jenny Rankin grew up as a Unitarian Universalist and is a Massachusetts native. She is a graduate of Milton High School, Princeton University and Harvard Divinity School. She has loved serving churches both as a long-time settled minister and now as an interim. She has completed five interim ministries and is accredited by the UUA as an interim.
Jenny lives with her husband, Rich Higgins, and together they have three children, Emily 24, Charlotte, 21 and Nicholas, 15. Her husband Rich holds degrees from Columbia Journalism School and Harvard Divinity School. He was a journalist on staff at the Boston Globe for 20 years and now is an editor and writer specializing in the environment and religion. He is the author of a book on how Henry David Thoreau looked at trees. Rev. Rankin and her family have lived in Concord, MA since 1997.
Rev. Rankin’s most recent interim experiences include one year at First Parish in Lexington, two years at Gloucester UU Church, preceded by 15 years at the First Parish in Concord as their settled minister. Jenny is in the office in Franklin on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday; she writes her sermon and does worship preparation off-site on Friday; Wednesday is her day off. Aoife Barrington-Haber, Director of Religious Education (DRE)
As Director of Religious Education, Aoife Barrington-Haber delivers our “Message for All Ages” during worship and oversees our religious education program. Prior to FUSF, Aoife (pronounced OY-fee) was DRE at the First Church Dedham, the UU church in Dedham, Mass. She and her husband Michael have a ten-year old daughter.
Aoife wants to make sure each child at FUSF feels they are in a safe, loving, and accepting place to learn and grow, and the congregation is enjoying Aoife’s whimsical and enlightening messages and leadership style. Sue Gravina, Office Administrator
A longtime member of our congregation, Sue Gravina has worked as an Office Administrator at FUSF since 1995. Sue is very knowledgeable about everything that’s happening at FUSF. At “central command,” Sue is often the first person you’ll reach. Have a question? More often than not, Sue will have the answer or can direct you to the appropriate resource or person. Laura Cerier, Membership Coordinator
Laura Cerier, a longtime member of FUSF, began her official position as Membership Coordinator in January 2015. Friendly, outgoing, and approachable, Laura enjoys meeting new people, connecting them with people who have similar interests, and integrating them into congregational life at FUSF. Tony and Barbara Kucich, Custodian and Bookkeeper
Tony Kucich has been our custodian for a couple of years. He keeps this busy meetinghouse clean and tidy, and keeps up with necessary repairs to this 13-year-old structure. His wife, Barbara Kucich, serves as our part-time bookkeeper, lending a hand to what was once a volunteer task.
The Rev. Carol Rosine, Minister Emerita
