For Hiking Enthusiasts
Children (probably 10 and up) who are experienced hikers should be able to handle this hike.
Blue Hills Reservation
Please meet at 12pm at FUSF parking lot to carpool (due to limited afternoon parking at Blue Hills Reservation.)
(A repeat of an earlier hike, we are hoping to get in shape for longer fall foliage hike.)
We will take the Blue Skyline trail up Buck Hill, then follow the Red Dot trail back. The hike is approximately 4 miles, and includes going up and down 3 steep, rocky hills (the Skyline part of the hike): Buck (492′), Boyce (377′), and Tucker (436′). There is a nice view of the Boston skyline from Buck Hill. The Red Dot trail back down is mostly flat with some inclines (not hills).
This hike should take approximately 2 to 2.5 hours to complete, depending on our pace.
Please bring water, hiking boots and snacks. Rain cancels.
