First Universalist Society in Franklin

This Spring is an exciting time for our congregation. The Transition Team has been busy. And, the Ministerial Search Committee is in the process of being formed.

The Transition Team along with Reverend Jenny Rankin has been working hard preparing for the Sunday Service on 4/2/17. We will continue our collective exploration into more completely and concisely articulating our current identity, as well as fully defining our vision for the future. These are both essential steps as we move forward in our preparation to call our next Minister. There will be time in the Service for you to share your thoughts. We invite everyone to attend, and look forward to your participation.

We will be holding Vision Circle workshops after Service on Sunday, April 30th, and Tuesday evening, May 2nd. Like the Listening Circles, these will provide everyone with an opportunity to more fully share their vision for the future of FUSF. We will continue working with the members of the Board, and look forward to working with the Search Committee.

“You have to know what you want. And if it seems to take you off the track, don’t hold back, because perhaps that is instinctively where you want to be. And if you hold back and try to be always where you have been before, you will go dry.” – Gertrude Stein

We would like to hear from you! So, please also feel free to speak with any member of your Transition Team. We are the folks wearing the yellow name tags on Sunday morning: Karen Allard, Jeff Cerier, Alec Danz, Suzanne Reynolds-Alpert, Marjorie Roemer, Jerry Rubin, Judy Swaim and Joan Toye.
