Sunday, Jan. 29, 3:30 PM, in our meetinghouse: Sandra Piques Eddy, mezzo soprano, with Michelle Alexander, piano.

Praised for her “dark, sensuous mezzo and charming stage presence” (Opera Magazine), Sandra Piques Eddy has made more than 100 appearances with New York’s Metropolitan Opera. This season, she returns to the Met for L’amour de Loin, tours Japan with Maestro Seiji Ozawa as Carmen, performs in Anchorage Opera’s Opera Extravaganza Gala, and travels back to Japan to sing Cherubino in Le nozze di Figaro with Hyogo Performing Arts Center.

Here at LiveARTS, she will be performing music by Brahms, de Falla, and other favorites. Tickets, available at the door, are $20 (general admission), $15 (seniors 60+), $10 (music students), and free for children aged 6-12. (Please no children under 6.) For more information, please visit
