Christine Lavin & Don White

January 7th, $25

The Circle of Friends Coffeehouse is starting the year off right with two hilarious musicians, Christine Lavin and Don White on Saturday January 7th at 8PM. Christine’s smart and funny songs nail our lives and foibles on the head! She is a comedienne whose delightfully skewed songs cover a lot of territory including relationships, politics, and life’s injustices.  http://www.christinelavin.com/

Don White is a Circle of Friends regular whose songs and stories about raising teenagers always have our crowds rolling in the aisles. Together they are a fabulously hilarious duo of comedy and song. This will be a night to remember. Admission is $25.

“…Christine Lavin and Don White, perhaps the two funniest performers on the folk circuit today.” – Scott Alarik, The Boston Globe http://www.donwhite.net/donchristine/

Peter Mulvey

January 28th, $20

Peter Mulvey is an amazing songwriter and singer, an extremely entertaining storyteller, and a guitar wizard. He is returning to The Circle of Friends Coffeehouse stage in Franklin on Saturday, January 28th at 8 p.m. He has developed a strong national following in the indie folk/rock scene through his relentless touring and critically acclaimed albums.  Twenty-odd years on the road, performing songs from his own catalog and from a vast, varied, and deep well of classic and obscure covers, has prepared Mulvey to deliver an outstanding concert. Night after night, the process of divining the heart of a song, being alert to where the moment can lead, has shaped him as an artist. To each rendition, he brings the soul of a singer, a light touch in a heavy world.

“Peter Mulvey is all substance, which is his style. ” – The Boston Globe
